After lockdown, we decided to hit the road for our very own staycation in North Cornwall. After arriving in the village of Pendoggett, we piled into the Land Rover (and onto the latest Royal Enfield Interceptor) and, over a couple of days, we headed to the fishing village of Port Isaac for fish and chips and then onto Polzeath beach for a quick, refreshing surf. It was all much-needed after months of travel restrictions.
And we couldn’t think of a better location to celebrate British brands such as Connolly, Turnbull & Asser, Hackett and Crockett & Jones. With the unpredictable nature of a British summer, we wore a vast range of fabrics, from light linens to sumptuous suedes.
So, with summer being delayed and everyone looking to take advantage of September sun, why not dive in and get inspired for your own perfectly practical summer wardrobe? Take a look below — and explore the thicker-knitted, longer-sleeved side of British summer style…
